I have had many students ask me over the years about the possibility of mentoring and due to my busy schedule I have always been hesitant to do so.
I have taken a break from teaching this semester and will have the time to do some private mentoring for a few students. We have to be very good at treating basic conditions in a few sessions if we want to obtain good clinical results, have patients come back and for them to refer us to their friends and family.
These are skills I have learned and personalized over my 10 years in the field and which I have picked up from mentors that I have worked under in places such as Alicante Spain, Bogota Colombia, CIncinnati Ohio, Alonisos Greece, Ottawa Ontario, and Victoria BC.
It involves learning how to properly diagnose and how to apply acupuncture methodically and with accuracy. It involves learning how to treat in a way where you can be sure you are heading in the right direction so that the patient can leave with improvements in their first treatment. Finally, it involves learning how to present to your patients your treatment plan so that they can be set up for success.
This style of treatment leads to clinical success and to a busy practice with happy patients. Most importantly it leads to you feeling more confident in your abilities to help others.
I am passionate about teaching you skills that will make you confident in your ability to treat patients successfully. I treat a wide variety of conditions but a large portion of my practice centers around low back pain, neck pain, headaches and migraines, and sports injuries. I also treat many different types of internal medicine, autoimmune disorders and fertility.
The mentoring will be one on one, and it will consist of a two day mentorship program where you will be able to observe me diagnose and treat patients in my clinic. This is one session once a week for 2 weeks. Each session is 6 hours long. The total time you will be spending with me will 12 hours total.
This is a private mentorship program and it will not count towards any continuing education. You do not have to have your student license as you will only be observing and not treating any patient.
